A policeman wounded in a north Sumatra firefight

The National Police confirmed Saturday afternoon that an officer was injured in a shooting in the town Dolok Sagala Dolok Masihul Regency earlier in the day, with four members of an armed group was killed and two others were arrested.

Spokesman for the police Insp. Gen. Iskandar Hasan said the officer kompas.com, identified as Brig. Sugeng, suffered a gunshot wound in his right shoulder.

The police, supported by anti-terror detachment group 88, attacked the armed group in hiding. The force of armed men, suspected terrorists to catch, starting at 11 am and lasts about two hours.

"The police confiscated a weapon and four AK-56 magazines," said Iskandar.

Earlier in the day, police caught a member of the armed group, identified as Robin Simanjuntak Tanjung Morawa region. He told police his gang was carrying an M-16 rifle and an AK-47 and FN.
